Mission Statement

A journal of record for the next generation of researchers.

The National Youth Research Journal (NYRJ) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to publishing original research by students in middle school and high school. We are open to any topic or category — biology, chemistry, physics, computer science, mathematics, engineering, psychology, sociology, economics, history, literature, linguistics, philosophy, music theory, visual arts research, and beyond.

We exist because serious research from young people deserves a serious venue. Too often student work is locked inside science-fair binders or never leaves a classroom Google Drive. NYRJ provides an editorial process, an archival record, and a public audience.

Manuscripts are reviewed for clarity, methodological soundness, originality, and appropriate scope for the author's academic stage. Issues are released monthly, and accepted work is archived permanently in our public archive.
