Apply to Become an Editor
Join the editorial team of the National Youth Research Journal. Editors are the backbone of peer review — they ensure every published manuscript meets our standards of clarity, rigor, and originality.
Peer Reviewer
- •Read and evaluate incoming manuscripts in your area of interest or expertise.
- •Assess methodological soundness, clarity of argument, and originality.
- •Provide constructive written feedback to help authors revise and improve their work.
- •Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection based on journal criteria.
Section Editor
- •Manage the review pipeline for a specific discipline (e.g., Biology, Humanities, Engineering).
- •Assign manuscripts to qualified peer reviewers and track turnaround times.
- •Synthesize reviewer feedback and make final publication recommendations to the Editor-in-Chief.
- •Curate special issues and thematic collections.
Copy Editor
- •Correct grammar, spelling, and formatting in accepted manuscripts.
- •Ensure citations and references follow the journal style guide.
- •Verify figure captions, tables, and supplemental materials for consistency.
- •Prepare final proofs for publication.
How to Apply
We welcome applications from high school and middle school students with strong academic writing skills, attention to detail, and a passion for research integrity. Prior editorial or peer-review experience is helpful but not required.
